Individual p<strong>at</strong>ients served since inception total 9,879, over303,211 prescriptions have been filled, and the value of services provided reached$35,876,235. <strong>The</strong> Clinic’s mission is to offer free services to the working uninsured while<strong>The</strong> Dental Clinic offers a low cost altern<strong>at</strong>ive to those in need of basic dental care.<strong>The</strong> Hospitality House will fulfill its mission as a “home away from home” for familieswho have loved ones receiving tre<strong>at</strong>ment <strong>at</strong> <strong>The</strong> <strong>Medical</strong> <strong>Center</strong> and CommonwealthRegional Specialty Hospital. Heart Walkdraws crowd<strong>The</strong> <strong>Medical</strong> <strong>Center</strong> front lawn wasfull of eager fundraisers last S<strong>at</strong>urday,<strong>September</strong> 11 as the community cametogether for the Warren County Start!Heart Walk. <strong>The</strong> event, arranged by theAmerican Heart Associ<strong>at</strong>ion, began andended <strong>at</strong> <strong>The</strong> <strong>Medical</strong> <strong>Center</strong> front lawn,and encouraged teams to raise moneyfor the fight against heart disease andstroke. All funds raised by the event willstay within Warren County for research,public educ<strong>at</strong>ion and advocacy.Participants in the Warren County Start! HeartWalk made their way up College Street. Teamsand individuals had the option of walking eithera mile course or a two-and-a-half mile courseth<strong>at</strong> stretched through downtown BowlingGreen.A young supporter of the Warren CountyStart! Heart Walk received help cutting theribbon <strong>at</strong> the beginning of the event. Red CapSurvivors were invited to walk <strong>at</strong> the front ofthe large group to show their triumph overheart disease or stroke.
