<strong>POULTRY</strong> REGULATIONSDisclaimer of Liability1. The term Exhibitor shall include persons taking part in any competition, exhibition or display arranged by the Society and the ownerof any animal, plant, machinery or other thing involved in any such competition or display or otherwise exhibited on the <strong>Show</strong>ground.Save for death or personal injury caused by breach of its duty the Society will not be responsible for death, injury, disease, damage orloss caused to any Exhibitor or to his or her servant or agent or to any animal, article, plant, machinery or thing of whatever naturebrought to the <strong>Show</strong>ground by the said Exhibitor from whatever cause death, injury, disease, damage or loss arises.Save as aforesaid the Exhibitor shall indemnify the Society against all claims, damages and expenses whatsoever in any way arisingout of the presence of the Exhibitor, his servants, agents, exhibits, vehicles or equipment on the <strong>Show</strong>ground and shall assume fullresponsibility therefor.Acceptance of the foregoing provisions shall be a condition of entry.Exhibitors are advised to insure against fire and other appropriate risk not only as regards their own property but also against any thirdparty claims.Poultry Club2. The <strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Highland</strong> <strong>Show</strong> has been designated as Scotland's <strong>Royal</strong> Championship <strong>Show</strong>. The Society is affiliated to the Poultry Clubof Great Britain and Poultry Classes will be held under the Rules and Regulations of the Poultry Club of Great Britain and exhibitorsmaking entries agree to be bound by such rules.Poultry Club Representative: Mr. A. Kirkpatrick, Strathmore, Glengarnock, Ayrshire, KA14 3BX.Entries3. Entries will be accepted until 30th April on forms obtainable from the Society. No entry will be accepted by the Society unlessaccompanied by the appropriate fee(s). Absolutely no late entries will be accepted.Responsibility for Entries4. Exhibitors are solely responsible for the accuracy and eligibility of their entries. The recording of an entry or the admission of theexhibit to the <strong>Show</strong>ground will not relieve the Exhibitor of this responsibility. The entry fee paid for an exhibit entered in a class forwhich it is not eligible is non refundable.Suspended Exhibitors5. The Society reserves the right to refuse, cancel or prohibit the exhibition of Poultry or Eggs from any person under suspension by ThePoultry Club of Great Britain or any Agricultural or Breed Society.Limitation of Entries6. In the event of more entries being made than can be accommodated, the Society reserves the right to require Exhibitors to make aproportional reduction in the number of their entries in which case a refund of the relative entry fees will be made.One Class Only7. No Exhibit may be entered in more than one class and no exhibit may compete in a class other than that prescribed for exhibits of thatdescription.Ownership8. All birds exhibited at the <strong>Show</strong> must, at the closing date of entry, be the bona fide property of the Exhibitor in whose name they areentered.All eggs exhibited at the <strong>Show</strong> must be from poultry being the property of the Exhibitor.Substitution and Withdrawal9. Substitution of entries will not be permitted after the closing date for entry and no refund will be made for withdrawals notified afterthat date.Admission of Entries10. Competition Exhibits will be admitted to the <strong>Show</strong>ground between 8.00 p.m. and 9.00 p.m. on the Friday of the <strong>Show</strong> and between7.00 a.m. and 8.00 a.m. on the Saturday of the <strong>Show</strong>. All exhibits must be penned or staged before 9.15 a.m. on the Saturday.Admission to the <strong>Show</strong>ground for Exhibitors will be on production of a letter of authority, which will be supplied along with detaileddelivery instructions prior to the <strong>Show</strong>.Handling Exhibits11. Exhibits must not be touched or handled either by the owner or by any other person.Control of Exhibits12. While in the <strong>Show</strong>ground all entries are subject to the orders of the Chief Steward and may not be withdrawn from competitionwithout his consent.Display of Names13. Exhibitors and other persons in charge of Poultry and Eggs are prohibited from displaying the name of the Exhibitor in any wayduring judging.Feeding and Attendance14. Pens, food and attendants for Poultry will be provided by the Society.Subject to Orders15. All persons in charge of Stock, or other exhibits and all persons admitted into the <strong>Show</strong>ground, shall be subject to the rules of theSociety and shall obey the orders of the Stewards, <strong>Show</strong> Manager and other officials of the Society. Exhibitors shall beanswerable for the conduct of their attendants or representatives.Disqualifying Entries16. The Judge may disqualify any Exhibit fraudulently dealt with or any person he deems to be guilty of dishonourable conduct.Exhibition Pairs and Trios17. These shall comprise of the following: Pair - one male and one female of the same breed; Trio - one male and two females of the samebreed.Junior Classes18. These Classes are open only to exhibitors under 16 years old at closing date for entries.Protests19. A protest having reference to Exhibits at the <strong>Show</strong> may be lodged by any person having interest. Protests having reference to Poultryor Egg Competitions must be lodged in writing with the <strong>Show</strong> Manager at his office not later than 7.00 p.m. on the day of judging.Each protest must state specifically the grounds of objection and must be accompanied by a deposit of £5.00 which, if the protest isdismissed, may be forfeited.Display of Competitive Exhibits
