OVENTROP HYDROMAT DP –
DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE REGULATOR
Available in both fl anged and BSP
threaded versions, using the Oventrop
Hydromat DP will lead to a longer life
for system parts and increased system
effi ciencies, producing energy savings
and lower end-user costs.
Oventrop’s differential pressure regulators,
Hydromat DP, are proportional regulators designed
to work without auxiliary energy to ensure constant
differential pressure within a necessary proportional
band across a system.
As the differential pressure in the installation
increases, the valve disc closes down and then
re-opens as the pressure falls. The regulator
reduces the excess differential pressure until the
set pressure in the pipe is reached.
When used in conjunction with a manual balancing
valve such as the Oventrop Hydrocontrol R or F,
it will keep constant design fl ow at heating and
cooling units.
End user energy savings and reduced contractor
hardware costs are achieved by installing the valve
in the return line and connecting it via a capillary
tube to the supply line.
This suffi ciently services multiple units at once
to minimise overfl ows, meaning valves are not
required to be installed at each terminal. Instead, a
single valve should be installed for an entire fl oor or
branch in a building to regulate an entire zone.
To ensure your system can be controlled by a
Hydromat DP, they are available in two fl anged
and two BSP threaded versions, all with their own
presetting pressure
options.
The two BSP threaded
versions are available
in DN15-DN50, with
presetting options of
5-30kPa or 25-70kPa.
The fl anged versions suit DN65-DN100 with
presetting options of 20-100kPa or 40-180kPa.
All Hydromat DP’s can operate to a maximum
working temperature of 120°C and are constructed
of either a cast iron (fl anged) or bronze (BSP) body,
bronze bonnet, DZR resistant brass stem and a
stainless steel seat and soft seal disc.
