Amy Paige, graduated with a BSin Biology of Health and Humankind, isthe recipient of the Mildred L. B. DeBarritPremedical Science Award. While atL.I.U., Amy was a member of the AlphaLambda Delta National Freshman HonorSociety, the Alpha Chi National College Honor ScholarshipSociety, the Phi Sigma Biological Sciences Honor Society,and the Alpha Epsilon Delta Premedical Honor Society.Amy, who currently works with the Brooklyn Parkinson’sGroup, plans to pursue her master’s degree in Public Health.Manaswi V. Pandya, amajor in Biology, is the Graduate SymbolicRecipient for the Richard L. ConollyCollege. She is also the recipient of thePhi Sigma Award. Upon graduation,Manaswi plans to pursue a Ph.D inMolecular/Cell Biology.Mitul P. Upon graduation, Heather plans towork with the United States Air Force.Emma L. Powers, a majorin Dance, is the recipient of the MelvinA. Pasternack ’54 Alumni Award.Upon graduation, Emma plans to joina professional dance company.Mitu Quan, a major in Biology,is the recipient of the Arnold ’57Premedical Science Award.Nikita O. Redman, a major inPsychology, is the recipient of the StudentService Award and is also a member ofthe Student Activities and the PoliticalScience Club. Upon graduation, she plansto continue studies at Nursing School.Wendy Rhoden, a major inNursing, is the recipient of the ValerieMichelson Award for Community Service.She is the outgoing President of the ChiEta Phi Nursing Sorority. Upon graduation,Wendy plans to continue her studies andbecome a Nurse Practitioner.Samson Rich, a dual major inFinance and Management, is the recipientof the Student Service Award and is also amember of the National Association ofBlack Accountants. Upon graduation,Samson plans to continue working withthe MTA New York City Transit Authority in the ControllersDepartment/Disbursements Division.Kerlene T. Richards, aMaster of Science-Nurse Executivestudent, is the Graduate Symbolic Recipientfor the School of Nursing. She is also amember of the New York State NursesAssociation, the American Association ofCritical-Care Nurses, and the New York Organization ofNurse Executives. Upon graduation, Kerlene plans to attainan upper level managerial position and thereafter obtain herAdvanced Nurse Executive Certification.22
