India to join league of topGlobal <strong>Dairy</strong> ExportersINDIA STAKED ITS claim as adairy exporter with theannouncement by its topdairy group that it is to sellthrough Global <strong>Dairy</strong> Trade,the auction site, where pricesstand at record highs.Gujarat CooperativeMilk Marketing Federation(GCMMF), maker of Amulbrand milk products, will soonbe offering select products to global buyers through an international auction site.“We will begin selling our SMP (Skimmed Milk Products) and WMP(Whole Milk Powder) products through the Global <strong>Dairy</strong> Trade platform fromJune this year. It will provide us direct access to 900 global customers andhelp fetch a better price for our produce,” GCMMF Managing Director ShriR.S. Sodhi said.With this, India joins the league of Europe, the US, Australia and NewZealand in selling dairy products through the international auction route, whereprices are at record high. Amul will begin competing with international dairybrands like Europe’s Arla, US-based <strong>Dairy</strong> America and Australia's MurrayGoulburn and New Zealand’s Fonterra, which owns GDT, to sell through theauction route. GDT is an auction platform for internationally-traded commoditydairy products. It has become the leading price reference indicator for theproducts traded.MAXCARE finds a newdestinationMAXCARE MARKETING AND TECHNICAL SERVICES, an established ISO 9001:2008 organisation and a renowned Exporter of Milk Processing Plants, hasexported a Turn Key Liquid Milk Processing plant to a client in Iraq. ThePlant is capable of producing by products like Butter, Paneer and Dahi,besides Pasteurized Milk in pouches.
