By creating an atmosphereof strict discipline and constant energy, we engage and motivate the cadetto achieve their full potential and beyond.All of this training is conducted by advanced cadets who have been trained in themethodologies and theory of training and education. Being on staff is the advancedcadet's opportunity to try out their "leadership wings" and learn by doing.Like no other activity, cadet staff at encampment are given the latitude tomake their own decisions and learn from the rewards and consequences that comewith those decisions. This entire concept is embodied in the "Cadet TrainingGroup."3

Air Force SupportFrom Left to Right: Mr Bill Willis, State Director, Lt Col Larry Brockshus,CAP-USAF NCLR Commander, Lt Col Joel Dale, Minnesota CAP-RAP Officer.Lt Col Larry Brockshus commands the North Central Liaison Region. The mission of the liaisonregion is to advise and assist the CAP in addition to providing necessary USAF oversightof the activities of the USAF Auxiliary.Mr. Bill Willis is the Minnesota State Director. He assists us by insuring that we have facilitiesto do the encampment and other CAP activities each year. The work that Mr. Willisdoes for Minnesota allows us to have funds for ES training, our equipment and the uniformsthat many of you are wearing. Without Mr. Willis our wing could not function.Lt Col Joel Dale is MN Wing’s Reserve Assistance Coordinator. For the Encampment he isthe liaison between the CAP and Volk Field. If we need something, from buses, to theRopes Course or Hardwood Range he gets it for us.Without the assistance of our Air Force partners our encampment could not happen everyyear.20
