This meant that if theyfailed they would have to wait until thenext sitting before retaking the exam.Learning material, a key part of theLLMIT, was spread across 11 text-heavyfiles. An exhaustive and time-demandingprocess, candidates found themselvesrestricted in developing other relevantskills, such as exam technique.Appointment of <strong>Pearson</strong> <strong>VUE</strong>To improve exam availability so thatcandidates could pursue certification assoon as they felt ready, Lloyd’s sought amore advanced and accessible methodof delivery. It was also imperative thatthe new solution allowed candidates towork through learning material moreeasily. Following a three-monthtendering process, Lloyd’s entered amulti-year partnership with <strong>Pearson</strong> <strong>VUE</strong>for computer-based delivery of theLLMIT exam and publication of itslearning material.

Incorporation of graphics andvoice-over functions aid accessibility whilepre-tests for each section providecandidates with an indication of theirunderstanding in a subject.Highly secure, easy bookingLLMIT candidates are able to bookexams via the <strong>Pearson</strong> <strong>VUE</strong> website,www.pearsonvue.co.uk. Once paymenthas been processed, they are thenprovided with a code enabling themaccess to the e-Learning material andschedule their exam.
