The Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority (the Authority) is anindependent, self–financing statutory body, primarily responsible forconducting local public examinations: the Hong Kong Certificate of EducationExamination, the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination and the futureHong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE). The Authority alsoadministers over 200 examinations on behalf of a number of overseasexamining bodies and overseas/local professional bodies.2. First launch to be in 2012, the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education(HKDSE) Examination will be supported by an online system/portalcomprising multiple modules for registration (REG), school-based assessment(SBA), Applied Learning registration (ApL), examination centre management(ECM), admission form preparation, marking and grading, examination resultdissemination, appeal and irregularity handling, etc., to name but a few.3. In order to ensure that sufficient and adequate quality software checking isapplied to each individual module before the module is being released forUAT and eventually the production, dedicated independent software testing(ST) exercise should be conducted immediately after the softwaredevelopment. This ST is a control point for moving forward.4. The Authority seeks to appoint a contractor to provide ST Service for theHKDSE examination system implementation.5. Interested parties shall fill in the "Tender Document Request Form" andpresent the form in-person at the following address to collect the tenderdocument from now on until the closing date (12:00 noon of Monday, 14March 2011):The Counter, the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority13/F Southorn Centre, 130 Hennessy RoadWanchai, Hong Kong6. Late proposals will not be considered.
