This scoring schemeprovides for rewarding points on a sliding scale dependant on the level of publicity achieved. The Wing competition will however include points for the following items which are not includedwithin the Regional scoring matrix:• Submission of Squadron Monthly Media Reports• The number of column inches published within recognised publications. Please see attached Mills Trophy Wing PR competition rules and scoring matrix for full details.2. PHOTOGRAPHIC COMPETITION - 2009/2010.The subject matter for the Wing 2009/10 Photographic Competition to be judged at next years WingTraining Day will as usual be based on the subject matter set by the Regional competition.Region have provisionally announced that the 2010 competition will follow the lines of this yearscompetition, in that there will be the usual staff and cadet entries with a compendium of threephotographs for each entry being required. The three pictures required will therefore be;• Padres• Civilian Committee Members• ParentsSome Squadrons without a Padre may have problems with the first category therefore the firstcategory of the photographic comp for both staff and cadets could be either a picture of the SqnPadre (any religion), conducting his duties or a picture of cadets involved in either;• A church parade• A Remembrance Day Parade• A Wings Parade• An ATC Sunday ParadeSo long as the picture can show that a form of service is being undertaken, not just a picture ofcadets on parade somewhere. The formal competition notification together with the 2010 media competition will be issued followingthe Regional Field Day in September.

This year at the 2009 Wing Training Day we had 7 Squadrons taking part in the PhotographicCompetition, hopefully this early notification of subject matter should go some way to encouraging all27 Squadrons to participate in 2010.Flt Lt Paul HincksMedia Communications OfficerWarwickshire & Birmingham WingCirculation:OC WingWing HQWSO’sOC SquadronsWing e-mail Distribution
