Drinka little wine, listen to some music, and enjoy thespecialties that Chef Robert Moltzan brings, pairingfoods with wines in an artistic and deliciousway.Items such as tuna tartare, shrimp and crabNapoleon and Spanish salmon are just some ofthe small-plate options offered from the menuthat is ever changing. “There’s always somethingdifferent on the menu,” Moltzan said. “You want togive customers the curiosity factor.”Owner Gina Thomas opened Closer to theVine in February 2011. “I wanted it to be a coffeeand wine house basically.”With previous experience working for a winedistributor in Chicago, Thomas said, “I wanted tobring a big city touch to a small town.
