George passed away awhile back, inthe mid-to-late 90's if I remember correctly. Serial killer,Timothy Krahcir, recently confessed to abducting andmurdering Sheila Cole in Cape Girardeau where shewas a student at Southeast Missouri State University.6

I was only afreshmen when he broke the school scoring recordand got an opportunity to see that game. It was neatseeing (Coaches) Don Bee '61 and Lou Lorch at therecognition ceremony. Down the road the schoolshould consider honoring the 1970 basketball team,which in my opinion was one of the most talentedgroup of guys to play basketball. (particularly GaryLink '70 and Steve Blind '70 who I went to schoolwith at MU. If you never played the game ofbasketball you don’t know how talented those guyswere. I think I went to every basketball game myjunior year. Darin has a bachelor’s degree inaccounting from Missouri State and is employed byKY3, a TV news station.In MemoriamJay Ring '72, a longtime principal at Clayton-basedMoneta Groups died Dec. 24, 2007, after a two year battlewith multiple myeloma. He was 54. He is survived by hiswife and daughter.John Arnold '74, passed away Nov. 2, 2007. John ownedand operated Arnold Graphics for many years. He issurvived by a sister, Laura Ann '71, and a daughter.Ellen Larose '84 died in November 2007.7Clyde William “Bill” Schwab, an Industrial Arts teacherat Sperreng Middle <strong>School</strong> until his retirement in 1993,died in December, 2007.
