Incorporates the internationally renowned brand names ofBirkett, Amal, Marston, MarvacOur extensive product portfolio can protect your plant and personnelby offering a comprehensive range of quality safety relief valves, flamearresters, bursting discs, explosion vent panels and tank protectionvalves manufactured to ISO 9001: 2008 and certified to majorInternational Standards.BirkettSafety Relief ValvesA comprehensive range of API/ASME pilot operated and spring loadedsafety relief and also thermal relief valves to protect pressurised systemsfrom the effects of exceeding design pressure limits.AmalFlame ArrestersThis extensive range of deflagration and detonation flame arrestersutilise a crimped metal element design of triangular cells to successfullyquench potentially lethal or destructive flames.MarstonBursting Discs and Explosion Vent PanelsA diverse range of pressure relief and explosion protection devices.Bursting discs (rupture discs) and explosion vent panels provide safe andinstantaneous relief in an ever increasing range of applications.MarvacPressure / Vacuum Tank Protection ValvesAn extensive range of products to protect low pressure storage tanksand vessels. The pressure/vacuum valves help to prevent implosion andexplosion damage to the tank caused by the effects of inbreathing andoutbreathing.

Safety Relief ValvesThe Birkett WB, Safeset and Safeflo range of fullnozzle, full lift safety relief valves are designed toprotect plant and equipment by relieving excesspressure. The Birkett range can be tailored to solve specificcustomer requirements, utilising an extensive range ofmaterials and accessories. We often supply valves forcryogenic industrial gas applications and regularlyassemble and test valves to oxygen service standards.A policy of continuous improvement ensuresthat Birkett safety relief valves will alwaysmeet current legislative requirements includingCE marking to theEuropean PressureEquipment Directive,ISO 9001: 2008,ISO 4126, ASME VIII,ATEX 94/9/EC,GOST-R, NACE,API 526,STOOMWEZENand the ChineseSafety Quality Licence.Valve Size Connection Pressure TemperatureType Range Range RangeSpring loaded 15mm to 200mm Screwed Up to 414 barg -268°C to 538°CWB Conventional (0.5" to 8") API/NPT or BSP (6000 psig) (-425°F to 1000°F)WB BellowsB, C & D Thermal FlangedANSI 150#to 2500#Safeset Pilot 25mm to 200mm Flanged Up to 425.5 barg -196°C to 260°COperated (1" to 8") ANSI 150# (6170 psig) (-320°F to 500°F)Pop action to 2500#Modulating action

Flame ArrestersThe Amal range of flame arresters provide explosionprotection during the storage and transportation offlammable gases or vapours.Amal flame arresters utilise a crimped metal element, which in section represents a matrix of triangularpassages or cells with guaranteed uniformity. Conclusiveproof exists that the crimped metal design is the mosteffective method of quenching potentially lethal ordestructive flames. The Amal crimped elements are stainless steel 316L asstandard and are regularly produced from manycommerciallyavailablematerialsincludingHastelloy®,nickel andMonel®.Our flamearresters arecertified to thehighest internationalstandard ISO 9001:2008 and the qualitysystem is also approvedin accordance with ATEXDirective 94/9/EC.In addition Amal flame arresters aredesigned, tested and certified to EN 12874 inaccordance with ATEX Directive 94/9/EC and havebeen tested and/or approved by: BS 7244:1990, USCG,IMO, FTZU, PTB, BAM, PROCHEM, CSA, HSE, INERIS,GOST-R and NEMCO.Amal flame arresters are also designed and certified tothe Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC.Flame Arrester Design Connection GasType Application Size GroupsEnd-of-line Designed to stop unconfined Up to 600mm IIA, IIB, IIB 1/2/3, IIC to BS5501Deflagration deflagrations entering pipes and (24") Pt 1997 and EN50014causing explosions in storageand B, C, and D to thetanks or process plant.US National Electrical Code,N.B.
