2013 Cadillac Championship Facts (cont.)CHARITABLE PROCEEDS:The World Golf Championships as a whole have generated more than$39.5 million for charity since they began in 1999 with the CadillacChampionship generating more than $9 million over that time, much ofwhich has tone to the First Tee.The First Tee is a non-profit organization dedicated to impacting thelives of young people by providing learning facilities and educationalprograms that promote character development and life-enhancingvalues through the game of golf. The Cadillac Championship played arole in the First Tee of Miami opening a new learning center facility onJanuary 26, 2013.The Cadillac Championship also runs a program called TICKETSFore CHARITY program as announced on Tuesday, October 23, 2012,at a charity event at International Links Miami-Melreese CountryClub, attended by more than 30 representatives from across SouthFlorida. Through TICKETS Fore CHARITY, the Cadillac Championshipis providing 501(c)(3) organizations with the opportunity to promotetournament tickets to benefit their organization. Best of all, 100percent of the net proceeds from the ticket sales – net proceedsexclude tax or processing fees – go to the charity promoting thetickets.In 2012, the fourth year of the program, $80,795 was generated forlocal charities, and the tournament has set a goal of $100,000 for2013. More than 26 South Florida charities have officially signed upto participate in the program. There are two tickets available throughTICKETS Fore CHARITY. One is a weekly clubhouse ticket, whichincludes a VIP ticket to the opening ceremonies, available for $115through January 15, when the price will increase to $125. This ticketprovides access to the grounds as well as the Doral Resort clubhousefor each day of the tournament from Wednesday March 6-SundayMarch 10. The second ticket available for purchase through theprogram is an any-day grounds ticket, available for $20. The ticketprovides access to the grounds any one day, Wednesday-Sunday, andis only available at the $20 price through the TICKETS Fore CHARITYprogram.
