Karen Six, Wyoming <strong>Foundation</strong> Board Member,presents research findings at needs <strong>for</strong>um.Wyoming <strong>Foundation</strong>On a crisp fall day in Wyoming County, hundreds gathered <strong>for</strong> a historic needs <strong>for</strong>um hostedby the Wyoming <strong>Foundation</strong>, a geographic affiliate of the <strong>Community</strong> <strong>Foundation</strong>. It is believedto be the first of its kind in the county where residents were invited to discuss not only the healthneeds of the community, but also the needs of the arts and culture, education and businesssectors. The event brought together more than 100 partners.After presentations on the <strong>2012</strong> Wyoming County health needs assessment and the othercounty needs mentioned above, residents participated in a process to prioritize the mostimportant issues facing the county. Residents engaged in lively discussions with Wyoming<strong>Foundation</strong> donors, county leaders, both business and elected, along with representativesof nonprofit organizations.A final question was asked at the end of the day: “Based on what you heard today, if you had$1 billion, which issue would you focus on and why?” The answers were instrumental in charting afuture course of giving and programming <strong>for</strong> the Wyoming <strong>Foundation</strong>.
