Following the Public Hearings, the<strong>County</strong> <strong>Commission</strong> will complete any unfinished items from the<strong>10</strong>:<strong>00</strong> a.m. session.The <strong>County</strong> <strong>Commission</strong> <strong>Agenda</strong> is comprised of four sections:Beginning at <strong>10</strong>:<strong>00</strong> a.m., the first section is called CONSENT. The Consent section containsnumerous routine matters that require the approval of the <strong>County</strong> <strong>Commission</strong> but do notrequire discussion. Prior to voting on the Consent portion of the agenda a <strong>County</strong><strong>Commission</strong>er, the <strong>County</strong> Administrator, or the <strong>County</strong> Attorney may request an item beremoved from the Consent portion for discussion, correction, or withdrawal. All remaining itemson Consent are approved by the <strong>County</strong> <strong>Commission</strong> with a single motion and vote.Immediately following the Consent is the portion of the agenda called REGULAR. Regularconsists of items for approval by the <strong>County</strong> <strong>Commission</strong> that require discussion, motions, andvotes on an item-by-item basis. Regular also contains Public Comment, that portion of theagenda where individuals can comment on matters that concern <strong>County</strong> government. Eachindividual is limited to three minutes for such comments. A timer will sound at two minutesto indicate that you have one minute remaining. The third section of the agenda is reserved fora WORK SESSION (if necessary). The Work Session allows the <strong>County</strong> <strong>Commission</strong> anopportunity to discuss a policy matter in depth in a more informal manner and to receive lengthypresentations by staff or consultants prior to scheduling the item for approval. Typically nomotions or votes are made during a Work Session. Beginning at 1:30 p.m., the final section ofthe agenda is reserved for PUBLIC HEARINGS. Public Hearings are advertised items,including rezonings, land use amendments, ordinance adoptions and revisions, etc. Commentsby the public are allowed on each item.
