DRAFT <strong>CCSDS</strong> RECOMMENDED STANDARD FOR CONJUNCTION DATA MESSAGESE1.5 DATA INTEGRITYIntegrity of data formatted in compliance with the specifications of this RecommendedStandard should be assured by the systems and networks on which this RecommendedStandard is implemented.E1.6 AUTHENTICATION OF COMMUNICATING ENTITIESAuthentication of communicating entities involved in the transport of data which complieswith the specifications of this Recommended Standard should be provided by the systemsand networks on which this Recommended Standard is implemented.E1.7 DATA TRANSFER BETWEEN COMMUNICATING ENTITIESThe transfer of data formatted in compliance with this Recommended Standard betweencommunicating entities should be accomplished via secure mechanisms approved by theInformation Technology Security functionaries of exchange participants.E1.8 CONTROL OF ACCESS TO RESOURCESControl of access to resources should be managed by the systems upon which originatorformatting and recipient processing are performed.E1.9 AUDITING OF RESOURCE USAGEAuditing of resource usage should be handled by the management of systems and networkson which this Recommended Standard is implemented.E1.10 UNAUTHORIZED ACCESSUnauthorized access to the programs/processes that generate and interpret the messagesshould be prohibited in order to minimize potential threats and attack scenarios.E1.11 DATA SECURITY IMPLEMENTATION SPECIFICSSpecific information-security interoperability provisions that may apply between agenciesand other independent users involved in an exchange of data formatted in compliance withthis Recommended Standard should be specified in an ICD.<strong>CCSDS</strong> <strong>508.0</strong>-R-1 Page E-2 March 2012
