Robert Smajgert Robert Smajgert was born 1964 in the City of Essen / Germany as the son of political refugees of former Yugoslavia. He studied Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology und Journalism and worked as an actor before he started to write and direct stage plays and became familiar with the fi lm business. Since 1999 he works as an Arts Manager, creating interdisciplinary and innovative concepts for art projects, too. Actually Smajgert is busy as a conceptional-head and fi lm-director for INTERARTES fi lm production / Metropole Ruhr, which initiates and creates feature, documentary and musical fi lms and experimental cinematographic projects. In combination of different artistic disciplines INTERARTES, which made many highly successful cinema and TV fi lms, searches for enhanced quality in fi lm production as well. As a fi lm-director Smajgert works actually on the movie “Children of Ganymed” which also plays in Georgia. 7 5
