’ dragsmsaJust when drag racing was seemingly a dyingsport in Cape Town with the revising of rulesand regulations from the MSA, Killarney andthe WPMC went forward to contest it and therest, can be read in previous issues of UrbanRacR. Coupled to all of this, with 400m dragsstill being allowed at Killarney, a new dragracing committee was structured and thesport has taken a turn for the better.With previous meetings thisyear having what can beclassified as a disappointingturnout, this was the firstmeeting of the year whichactually shocked us. Havingbeen originally planned for aprevious date and thenPIXrained out. With so manypublic holidays having beenenjoyed in the April/Maymonths, another date wasquickly set and racingcommenced. It saw the returnof numerous familiar faces andcars not seen for some timenow.
