’ dragsmsaJust when drag racing was seemingly a dyingsport in Cape Town w<strong>it</strong>h the revising of rulesand regulations from the MSA, Killarney andthe WPMC went forward to contest <strong>it</strong> and therest, can be read in previous issues of <strong>UrbanRacR</strong>. Coupled to all of this, w<strong>it</strong>h 400m dragsstill being allowed at Killarney, a new dragracing comm<strong>it</strong>tee was structured and thesport has taken a turn for the better.W<strong>it</strong>h previous meetings thisyear having what can beclassified as a disappointingturnout, this was the firstmeeting of the year whichactually shocked us. Havingbeen originally planned for aprevious date and thenPIXrained out. W<strong>it</strong>h so manypublic holidays having beenenjoyed in the April/Maymonths, another date wasquickly set and racingcommenced. It saw the returnof numerous familiar faces andcars not seen for some timenow.
