Any event going straight to finals will have finals atthis time if possible.4:00 Finals6:00 Awards in cafeteriaSweepstakes AwardsSweepstakes trophies will be awarded to (1) the top three debate schools; (2)the top three IE schools; (3) the top three community colleges and (4) to the topthree schools overall. Sweepstakes will include both IE parts of the swing andwill be awarded at the IE awards on Sunday.The following formula will be used for sweepstakes calculation:IE: (top 3 competitors per school per event)1st = 5 pts 2nd = 4 pts 3rd = 3 pts finalist = 2 pts semi’s = 1 ptDebate: (top 3 teams in each division per school)3 points for each prelim win plus 2 points for each team that clears.FeesWe are happy not to have to increase our fees over last year. In fact, we areraising the IE judge coverage ratio so one judge now covers 6 slots, where lastyear it was 5. Each debate team entry is $50.00 and each individual events slotis $10.00. Each uncovered parli debate team will be $80.00 and policy debateteam will be $100.00. Each uncovered IE slot will be $10.00. Each critic willcover two debate teams. Each IE critic will cover six slots per day. Please makechecks out to “Becky Opsata, c/o DVC Forensics.” Fees will be set at noon onWednesday, October 21 st ; schools should expect to pay the set fee amount atregistration regardless of subsequent drops to the setting of fees. The onlineentry system will be turned off at that time.Entry Procedure: Entries will only be accepted on-line at www.debateresults.com.If you need help with system, feel free to contact us. The system will acceptentries and changes until NOON on Wednesday, October 21 st . If you have dropsor adds, you can go to the webpage and make them yourself until that time. If
you have drops after that date, please email them to me atbopsata@dvc.edu. Please note that drops after fees assessment will be charged.The online system will be open for entries in early fall.We look forward to hosting you in October.
