The HP mouse won overall.Based on feedback from this test, thedesign of the prototype was furtherrefined.The product will be available worldwidein early 1990. Only one interfacewill be available - the mini-DIN interface,sometimes known as the PSI2interface. The interface will suit thenew HP Vectra 486 PC. IBM PSl2,Compaq Tandy, and NEC PCs with thepointing device port can also use thenew mouse. However, it will not becompatible with the older HP VectraPCs with HIL interface. These usersshould continue ordering the existingmouse (PIN 46060A). The new mousecomes with the latest Microsofi Mousedriver (version 7, in 5 %- and 3%-inchdiskettes), a manual in three languages,and a one-year return-to-HP warranty.Combine the HP Vectra 486 PC withthe HP 20-inch high-resolution display,HP Intelligent Graphics Controller, andan HP Draftmaster plotter, and usershave a total CAD system with performancethat is unmatched by any othervendor.
