The celebrations alsoprovided an opportunity to share withthousands of employees how donations receivedthrough the Healing Hearts pro-Recently, Banner Health Foundation introduced a new recognition program, calledHealing Hearts. This program, which started with a direct mail program to former patients inFebruary, was expanded in May to include all those affiliated with Banner Health. Through HealingHearts, individuals are encouraged to make a donation to one of Banner’s nonprofit hospitals orfacilities in honor of a caregiver or colleague who has made a difference to them.Banner Health Foundation’s Scott Showers talkswith employees about how to get involved withthe Healing Hearts program.gram can make a positive impact on the services and care providedto the community by Banner Health.As Healing Hearts continues to gain momentum, BannerHealth Foundation has been inspired by the phenomenal responsewe have received from those touched by the care provided by BannerHealth. In addition to wonderful feedback from patients, whohave made generous donations through the program, we have receivednumerous contributions and heart-warming comments fromBanner Health employees, who have chosen to celebrate each other.Each quarter, a new class of Healing Heart honorees will berecognized with an e-newsletter, a dedicated page on the BannerHealth Foundation website, and special recognition posters placedthroughout Banner Health facilities. In addition, each issue ofFRIENDS will have a section devoted to our Healing Heart honorees,all of whom embody our mission of making a difference inpeople’s lives through excellent patient care.
