2003 PRC members’ exhibitionBegun in 1996, the PRC Members’Exhibition will witness its eighth incarnationthis year. In total, nearly 190photographers have shown in the PRCMembers’ Exhibitions over the years—representing both established photographersand those cited as “ones towatch”. The objective for this prestigiousexhibition perhaps rings evenmore true than when it was announcedin the PRC newsletter in 1996: “[theMembers’ show] signals the Center’sdeepening commitment to area artistsand its support of the range of photographyproduced in the New Englandregion.”Moreover, the PRC Members’ Exhibitionis a testament to the depth of talentin the PRC membership. As PRCmembership extends over New Englandand beyond, this is a great opportunityto view a slice of the best and brightest aswell as see topics in which contemporary minds areengaged. Submissions to the members’ show usuallyranges between 100-200 entries, from which15-20 people are selected and two to four individualshighlighted. All winners are highlighted in thePRC’s publication in the loupe, which is distributedto over 2,500 visitors, members, museums, andEsther Pullman’s Wellesley College Greenhouse was one of the featured works in the 2002 PRC Members’ Exhibition.
