JAMMU & KASHMIRPrant organized oath taking ceremony of thenewly elected Prant and branch office bearers forthe year 2012-13 on 08.04.2012, Prof. D.R. Kotwal,Sh. Vijay Sharma, Sh. Lek Raj Sharma took theoath of office as State President, State GeneralSecretary and Treasurer respectively. Dr. SantoshGupta administered the oath. Ex. State PresidentProf. S.C. Anand, State Secretary Sh. S.N. Sharmaand State Treasurer, Arun Sharma also graced thefunction. Sh. Vijay Sharma gave the financial report.State President administered the oath to all thePresidents of the branches, Sh. Vijay Sharma to allthe Secretaries and Sh. Lekh Raj to the TreasurersProf. D.R. Kotwal in his welcome address stressedupon the members for the expansion and increasein the membership for the year 2012-13. Sh. S.N.Sharma presented the vote of thanks.Swami Vivekanand, Gandhi Nagar : Branchcelebrated parivar milan and branch elections atSukrala Mata Temple, Billawer on 18.03.2012. About105 members of branch participated in the trip.Many members participated in the culturalprogramme and interacted with each other. The ladymembers of the branch conducted singingcompetition and bhajan etc. To activate the womenin the BVP the branch has constituted a womenexecutive group of 10 ladies. Their thought processwill definitely improve the functioning of the BVP.Gandhi Nagar : Branch organized a parivarmilan at Mansar on 1 st April. Near about 40 membersincluding men, women and children participated.Certain problems of the branch were taken up fordiscussion. Games were arranged to provideentertainment to the members. Everyone enjoyedthe get togher. Dr. Santosh Gupta, convenor of theYuva participation, Prof. S.C. Anand Chairman ofProudh Sanskar Shivir, President of the branchChampa Gupta, Secretary Bhopal Dutta andTreasurer, Prem Sharma also participated.MAHARASHTRA-INerul, Navi Mumbai : On the initiative ofHasumati Vaghani President of Mahila memberstook initiative to teach the basic needle work to thegirls in the age 12-18 of Vatsalya Trust Sampada.The hostel is meant for the needy girls from theage 5-18 years. About 49 girls are staying in thehostel. The basic needle work was taught to 30 girls9during their summer shivir on 25 th and 26 th April.Based on the feedback the program will continueon fortnightly basis. Mahilas who participated inthe program were Vaghani, Shashi Bansal and AlkaRawat.GUJARAT CENTRALPaldi, Amdavad : Published a small book onsweat memories of Development work of BVPnamely 'ame bhooiyaa nathi' on the occasion ofworkshop for Gujarat Zone at Prexa Wishava<strong>Bharat</strong>i, on 07-04-2012. Vimochan of this book wasdone by BVP National President Hon. Justice V.S.Kokje with other Gujarat Zonal Office Bearers &Prant Trustees. In this book are given the true storiesof various BVP progs. activities & permanentprojects and experiences shared by Paldi trustees& office bearers during implementation for the last15-20 years.GUJARAT NORTHPrant held a general meeting in the hall ofsanskar Bhavan Unjha on 04.03.2012. All branchPresident, Secretary & Treasurer, Mahila Sanyojika& all programme Sanyojak remained present.Meeting started with speech of Dr. Ajabhai JoshiPresident of Prant. National Secretary VinodhbhaiShah & Zonal Secretary Pankajbhai Shah remainedpresent as chief guest. Honourable chief guestVinodbhai Shah very nicely delivered his speech &explained basic fundamentals.Patan : Branch celebrated its 16 th annualfunction on 25.03.2012 in the Sankul of K.C. PatelPioneer School. Distt. Collector J.G. Hingrajiyaremained present as chairman, S.T. Nigam ChairmanK.C.
