These are full-cost programmes. There isno fee remission available. If you are interested inbecoming an assessor, but are not currently workingwith candidates, you can complete the Level 3Award in Understanding the Principles and Practicesof Assessment. This is a workshop-based unit andthe cost is £250.If you are currently assessing candidates througha college or training provider, you will be ableto complete the Level 3 Award in AssessingVocationally Related Achievement or thE Level3 Award in Assessing Competence in the WorkEnvironment. These awards require you to completethe Level 3 Award in Understanding the Principlesand Practices of Assessment unit, plus provideevidence of assessing at least two learners in eithera work-based or classroom environment. The costof these awards is £500 per candidate. This feeincludes all tuition and assessment costs, provisionof all materials, and the awarding body fees.It is also possible to complete all three unitsby taking the Level 3 Certificate in AssessingVocational Achievement. This qualification isappropriate for those whose role involves theassessment of both occupational competence andvocationally related achievement, for example,through Apprenticeship programmes. The cost ofthis course is £750 per candidate. This fee includesall tuition and assessment costs, provision of allmaterials, and the awarding body fees.
