Studentsplaced in Intensive Reading per State and District guidelines or enrolled in a required LEP course may need to attendsummer school sessions, adult education, or virtual school classes in order to complete graduation requirements.2 The elective courses of Physical Education and Fine Arts (1.0 credit each) are required for graduation. For studentsinterested in obtaining a college ready diploma, two years of a Foreign Language is generally required; however, ForeignLanguage is not a requirement in order to graduate from high school.3 One of the three required science credits must be taken in grade 11 because of the FCAT science assessment in thatgrade. Also, middle school students who entered grade 8 in 2007-2008 and complete a senior high school sciencecourse will still have to earn three (3) science credits in grades 9-12 in order to graduate.The majority of the Academy Core CTE Curriculum consists of a six (6) credit plan of study dictated by the CareerPathway selected. However, enrollment in a summer, adult education, virtual school, or dual enrollment course may benecessary for some students to facilitate high school graduation requirements, postsecondary entry requirements, and/orCTE certification completion.34
