LEVEL LOW DOWNPREPTerm 2 has seen the preps settle right back into their routines. This week we have been learning about ‘yesterday, todayand tomorrow’. Ask your child a tricky question like, “If yesterday was Sunday and tomorrow is Tuesday– what day am Ithinking of?” That will test them out! We have also worked with our new calculators for the first time and realised thatdigital numbers look quite different. The Walker Learning Approach places a major emphasis on the maturity anddevelopment of each child and we plan and set learning intentions for our prepstudents. One of our developmental learning intentions this fortnight is to discuss whatmakes us feel proud and why we feel proud. It has been really nice to hear someresponses like, “I am proud of making new friends this year”, “ I am proud when I have ago at writing”, “I am proud of my baby brother when he smiles at me”, “I am proudbecause I don’t get upset when I say goodbye to mummy in the morning.”Here are some prep students in 'Little Beaumaris Primary School', one of our dramaticlearning centres. We caught them practising one of our learning intentions - yesterday, today and tomorrow.YEAR ONEThe year 1 children have made a smooth transition into term 2 and been very settled this week.
