WELCOME MESSAGETo all delegates and friends,It is a pleasure to welcome you to the 9th Asia PacificMusculoskeletal Tumour Society Meeting which will be held inMalaysia 2012.PROFESSOR ZULMI WANPresidentThe management of malignant bone and soft tissue sarcomahas benefited tremendously from advancement inorthopaedic surgery, radiological evaluation, bioengineeringand radiotherapy. Newest chemotherapeutic agents havealso contributed to the development of safe and more reliablesurgical techinques, especially for the limb sparing surgery.However, due to tumour heterogenecity, their management isalways complicated and the results are inadequatelyoptimised. I am hoping that we can meet, discuss and shareour current knowledge so that we will be able to improve thecare for our patients. We can also plan our collaboration inresearch and training programme for future benefit worldwide.We are proud to host the 9th APMSTS meeting at the HiltonKuala Lumpur, next to Kuala Lumpur city centre. This is directlyconnected to airport and train centre.
