Eachreference has been carefully chosen, providing a versatile palette for use in a broadrange of applications.Tria InksROYGR354R414R427O177O225O228O324Y119Y129Y156G136G139G178G267R434R465R555O335O346O377O427Y217Y247Y417G278G339G346G356R576R616R635O518O527O528O535Y418Y567Y635G555G557G637G756R735R765R934O538O567O618O628Y838O646O727O729O739WGNGO819O837O878O928WG02WG04NG02NG04* Not all colours reproduce accuratelyin CMYKO929O948O949WG06WG09NG06NG09CBVCGIGC119C429C538B128B156B345B537V528 V546 V564CG02CG04IG02IG04C719C847C919B546B626B746B845MCG06CG09IG06IG09M644 M647 M965XB BB BLTelephone: +44 (0)1233 658875 Fax: +44 (0)1233 658874 Email: enquiries@letraset.comLetraset Limited, Kingsnorth Industrial Estate, Wotton Road, Ashford, Kent, TN23 6FL1

TDLR043Creating Watercolour EffectsAdd another dimension to your work by laying down a wash of Blender Ink to yourwork surface before applying colour. This will draw back the colour, giving a subtlewater colour paint effect.Rendering SkiesApply a wash of Blender Ink followedby a second wash of sky colour. Thentake away the ink using a spongeor piece of cotton wool to reveal thewhite of the paper. This gives you verysoft tonal transitions, useful whendepicting skies.Telephone: +44 (0)1233 658875 Fax: +44 (0)1233 658874 Email: enquiries@letraset.comLetraset Limited, Kingsnorth Industrial Estate, Wotton Road, Ashford, Kent, TN23 6FL1

TCreating Marbling EffectsWith an illustration like the one opposite, it’s important toavoid letting the background ink media bleed into the mainsubject. Use a medium fine brush to apply coloured inkaround the figure. Then repeat this outline using Blenderink, allowing the two applications to mix naturally. Use theinks SPARINGLY where they are close to the main figure– overloading the paper with ink will cause it to spreadand bleed.Further away from the main subject, inks can be used moreliberally. The marbling effect is produced by letting thecolour dry then carefully dropping blender ink direct fromthe bottle, onto your work surface. The Blender will diffusethe dried ink, giving a marbled appearance.Rendering BackgroundsDrop different coloured inks and Blender ink on Bleed proof MarkerPaper. Then, holding the edges of the paper, tilt it around so the coloursswirl and mix together naturally. This technique gives a dramatic, variedbackdrop to your image.Telephone: +44 (0)1233 658875 Fax: +44 (0)1233 658874 Email: enquiries@letraset.comLetraset Limited, Kingsnorth Industrial Estate, Wotton Road, Ashford, Kent, TN23 6FL1

TDLR043Creating Colour GradientsTria Inks lend themselves to easily creating graduated colourtransitions. Using a wide brush, apply the lightest colourfirst to a larger area than needed. Then, working quickly, overlay with the second colour and draw it down the worksurface. The wet ink colours will gradually merge into oneanother, giving smooth, blended results as shown in theadjacent image.Colouring 3D Objects and SurfacesThe formulation of Tria Inks makes them suitable for use on3D objects and models. They can be brushed on like otherpaint based media. The inks will appear translucent, so itwill be necessary to allow drying between coats to achieve amore opaque effect.AirbrushingTria Inks can also be used withtraditional airbrush systems. Ideal forachieving the soft blends, crisp metalliceffects and highly finished resultsassociated with this trusted technique.Simply use Tria Inks when refilling asusual. There’s the added advantageof being able to easily apply the samecolours with a brush or Tria Marker.Telephone: +44 (0)1233 658875 Fax: +44 (0)1233 658874 Email: enquiries@letraset.comLetraset Limited, Kingsnorth Industrial Estate, Wotton Road, Ashford, Kent, TN23 6FL1
