How to applyTransfer Students (Direct Enrolment at the 2 nd and 3 rd year)International student admissionopens October 30 th 2005 andcloses October 15 th 2006.Courses in São Paulo start onFebruary 2006: admission closesJanuary 30 th 2006To apply students must follow IEDapplication procedures:1 st step• Complete the IED applicationform found in the back of thisadmission• Pay the enrolment fee in orderto reserve the place and get theenrolment certificate for visaproceduresPrepare the following documents:• Copy of high school <strong>di</strong>ploma orequivalent (translated in Italian,Spanish or English)• Proof of language proficiency(one of the following):• Submit a “language coursecertificate”• Submit Italian/Spanish/English university <strong>di</strong>ploma• Proof of competency throughphone interview for bilingualstudents• 4 passport photos• Photocopy of your passport2 nd stepMail the above-required originaldocuments to the School of yourchoice.3 rd stepTo start the quick admissionprocess, fax the IED applicationform to the chosen school (seeaddresses in the back of thecatalogue), with:• A copy of the enrolment fee wiretransfer• Copy of passport• Copy of <strong>di</strong>ploma or equivalentStudents previously enrolled in anequivalent program, may apply for<strong>di</strong>rect entrance at the 2 nd year or(in exceptional cases) the 3 rd year.1 st step: to enter the 2 nd and 3 rdyear the following items must bemailed to the chosen school byJuly 30 th 2005, in order to startthe admission process:• Copy of your university/college<strong>di</strong>ploma (if obtained)• Transcript from your university/college previously attended(cre<strong>di</strong>ts, amount of hours persubject, study programs)• A portfolio of 15-20 examples ofyour projects (CD-ROM, e-mailpreferred)• A portfolio description sheetlisting each piece by number,size, me<strong>di</strong>um and date completed2 nd step: within two weeks fromreception of portfolio student willbe informed, by e-mail, regar<strong>di</strong>ngacceptance of <strong>di</strong>rect transfert.3 rd step: imme<strong>di</strong>ately upon receiptof acceptance into the 2 nd or 3 rdyear, pay urgently the enrolmentfee in order to reserve a place.Student VisaIf accepted, the student will receiveby mail a “certificate of enrolment”.This certificate should betaken to the local Consulate toapply for a Student Visa. For therefund is necessary a written Visarefusal by the local consulate. Students will be <strong>di</strong>vided intogroups accor<strong>di</strong>ng to their skills.Materials with a course schedulewill be <strong>di</strong>stributed.Final examThere will be an exam on October14 th . All international students mustpass this exam to begin the year.Students who do not pass the finalexam will be obliged to attendad<strong>di</strong>tional lessons on an ad<strong>di</strong>tionalcost.Italian LanguageIntensivePrerequisite courseA special Italian language coursewill be organized for thosestudents coming from Far-Eastasian countries (Korea, China andso on).The Italian Language IntensivePrerequisite Course will have athree year duration and will havemore hours and smaller groupsper classroom.
