(b) Ragging in any form is prohibited also in the privatelodges/building where these college students are staying.(c) No person including students/staff/ faculty shall participateor abet or propagate ragging in any form.5. Punishments:Ragging is a cognizable offence under the law and thepunishments are exemplary and justifiably harsh to act as adeterrent. It may include.(a) Cancellation of admission, suspension, rustication orexpulsion from the Institution/ Hostel.(b) FIR with the police and arrest.(c) More severe punishment where justified such asfine/imprisonment, etc.(d) Collective punishment may be imposed where involvedpersons are not identified.(e) Withholding Scholarship or other benefits ( Writ Petition-Civil No. 656 of 1998 of Supreme Court.(f) Debarring from representation in test/examination/ extracurricular activities.(g) Withholding results.6. Various Monitoring Bodies :(a) Anti-ragging monitoring cell : There is an anti-raggingmonitoring cell headed by the joint director & secretary,board of Technical Education Raj. Jodhpur.(b) Anti-ragging committee : It is totally responsible toensure that no incidence of ragging as given in theseregulation takes place. It also monitor and ensure that theinstructions of these regulations are followed. It is headedby the Principal.(c) Anti-ragging flying squads : Flying squads have beenformed to prevent ragging. The student may report anyragging incidence to flying squad.(d) Mentoring cell : A mentoring cell comprising of seniorstudents is operational in the institution. The function of cellis to promote the objectives of anti-ragging regulations.Note : Complete details of the above monitoring bodies isavailable in the office order (s).8. Anti-Ragging complaint Box :Anti-Ragging Complaint Boxes are placed in selectedareas in the Institution and in the Hostel for students who maydrop in their complaints of any incidence of ragging which hasnot otherwise been reported for necessary action by the Anti-Ragging Committee/Squads.103

9. Instructions for fresher :(a) Freshers should not be hesitable or feel of reporting anyincidence of ragging either as a victim or as witness.(b) Fresher should move in groups (particularly the hostelfreshers). They should be advised that they may resistindividually or collectively and attempt by seniors towardsbullying or ragging and also immediately report to any of theauthority whose contact numbers are made available tothem.(c) The important contact numbers should be entered andsaved in their respective mobile phones.(d) Freshers should not stand at lonely places in collegecampus.10. Instructions for Hostelers :(a) All fresher students will report back in their respectivehostel rooms latest by 09:00 PM.(b) All senior hostel students will be in their respective hostellatest by 10:00 PM.(c) All hostel students will abide by the hostel rules in additionto the Anti-Ragging Regulations.(d) All Day Scholars are required to leave the Campus latestby 6:00 PM. Entry/presence of Day Scholars in the Campuswill bot be permitted beyond 6:00 PM and on holidaysunless specifically allowed under the authority to therespective Head of Institution.
