<strong>2013</strong> <strong>Pony</strong> <strong>Club</strong> <strong>NSW</strong> State CampThe 20 th annual <strong>Pony</strong> <strong>Club</strong> <strong>NSW</strong> State Camp was held from the 6 to the 11 January <strong>2013</strong>, at the Sydney Internaonal EquestrianCentre at Horsley Park.The camp is held every year in January bringing together sixty <strong>of</strong> the top riders in the state for the week long camp <strong>of</strong> instruconfrom top Australian coaches.This year’s coaches included Sam Lyle as the Evenng Coach, Jamie Coman from Victoria as the Showjumping Coach, Carolyn Earlalso from Victoria as the Dressage Coach, and Dave Harris and Phil Logue coaching the Mounted Games.Each day the riders sck to a program that is designed not only to ensure the riders develop their skills in their chosen disciplinebut also to ensure they grow on an individual basis. The camp is not just about instrucon, emphasis is also placed on developingteam work and importance is placed on horse care. Each day the riders must feed their horses and ensure the horse’s stables arewell maintained. The social aspect <strong>of</strong> the camp is also encouraged with aer dinner acvies such as the annual volleyball tournamentbetween the groups <strong>of</strong> five, which is always an enjoyable part <strong>of</strong> the rider’s camp experience.The <strong>Pony</strong> <strong>Club</strong> <strong>NSW</strong> Camp is supported by Sport and Recreaon a division <strong>of</strong> Communies <strong>NSW</strong>, Product sponsors Mitavite<strong>of</strong>ficial feed partner and Internaonal Animal Health.
