8000 Reusable Series Oil Hydrostatic Filter Magnets LiftRegrind Mill Hydrostatic Lift Lube System8HLS-LP-HPThe prime function of the OEI Regrind Mill Hydrostatic Lift Lube System (HLS) is to lubricate the bearingduring the three critical periods encountered during start-up and shut-down of the mill. The HLS shouldbe operated during normal mill operation to maintain oil cleanliness and compliment the existing internallubrication system for the bearing. One HLS system is required for each bearing.Start-up is the critical period because of the frictional wear and stress developed prior to the formation ofan adequate hydrodynamic oil film on the bearing surfaces.The HLS is designed to float the mill on a film of oil which is introduced under high pressure (3000psi) atthe center of the load area of the bearing. A satisfactory oil film is thereby established prior to start-upand during the critical period following start-up. The HLS will maintain an ample lubricant film throughoutthe critical periods of operation such as an unbalanced load (rock) and thermal expansion and the coolingoff period.The HLS is equipped with state of the art environmentally friendly filtration to ensure protection frompremature wear of the entire system by maintaining a high level of oil cleanliness. The oil is filtered by apatented magnetic filter installed prior to the pump to protect the pump and again by the ADD-Vantage9000 after the pump allowing filtration to submicron levels.
