| SECTION 2. LABOR RELATIONS |RESULTS1. Popularity among employees and <strong>the</strong>ir family members. Over<strong>the</strong> 4 years <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> corporate volunteering programme, <strong>the</strong>number <strong>of</strong> participants exceeded 500 people.2. Regional coverage. The programme involves employees fromvarious <strong>Russia</strong>n regions from <strong>the</strong> northwest to <strong>the</strong> Far East.3. Effectiveness. Number <strong>of</strong> events for disabled and foster children,donor events – number <strong>of</strong> events, employees involved,donations – outcomes. Number <strong>of</strong> beneficiary children.4. Higher loyalty <strong>of</strong> employees to <strong>the</strong> company due to new,deeper types <strong>of</strong> motivation.5. Development <strong>of</strong> employees. Higher creativity <strong>of</strong> employees,personal growth, and <strong>development</strong> <strong>of</strong> communication skills.6. Development <strong>of</strong> local communities. Due to a number <strong>of</strong> citywideevents focused on external audience, charity and volunteeringideas were promoted among representatives <strong>of</strong> variousclasses. Most significant and remarkable events include‘Heart2Heart Bazar’ Charity Fair (over 5,000 guests) and a cityfest in Garage Art Center (about 1,000 Muscovites).PLANS TO DISSEMINATE THE PRACTICE IN RUSSIA AND ABROADThe programme foresees its qualitative transformation. For example,based on <strong>the</strong> research (questioning <strong>of</strong> volunteers) a trainingand <strong>development</strong> programme for volunteers is developed as part <strong>of</strong><strong>the</strong> global personnel <strong>development</strong> programme. The programme willcover different areas and combine various charity and volunteeringpractices. Based on <strong>the</strong> knowledge and expertise gained, volunteerswill initiate and implement <strong>the</strong>ir own charity projects in line with <strong>the</strong>company’s social priorities. Thus, <strong>the</strong> company will ensure personalgrowth and improvement <strong>of</strong> creative and leadership skills <strong>of</strong> employees,as well as use most efficient non-financial motivation tools.APPRAISALWhen appraising charity efficiency, including <strong>the</strong> corporate volunteeringprogramme, <strong>the</strong> following fundamental components are takeninto account: social efficiency; impact on company’s reputation;influence on core <strong>business</strong> (contribution to optimizing non-financialrisks, encouraging corporate values, etc.). Alongside that, <strong>the</strong> programmestipulates <strong>the</strong> appraisal <strong>of</strong> psychological climate change and<strong>the</strong> programme’s impact on lower personnel turnover.Corporate volunteering projects <strong>of</strong> Transaero cover several areas:1. Rehabilitation <strong>of</strong> disabled children. This is a part <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> globalprogramme <strong>of</strong> Transaero for supporting and developing children’shealthcare that includes children’s medical transportation, medicinetransportation, doctors’ skill upgrading and rehabilitation projects.The programme covers children with serious diseases (specifically,oncological and hematological diseases), children rehabilitated afterserious diseases, and <strong>the</strong>ir family members. The company volunteersarrange trips to children’s rehabilitation camps, organize creativemaster classes, develop and implement entertainment programmesstimulating socialization and emotional welfare <strong>of</strong> children in a difficultlife situation and <strong>the</strong>ir family members.2. Social adaptation <strong>of</strong> children in difficult life situations. Theactivities include <strong>the</strong>matic events on a regular basis, focused on socialization<strong>of</strong> children in a difficult life situation and support for <strong>the</strong>individual tutorship programme for foster children.3. Pro-bono volunteering. The projects provide for consulting<strong>of</strong> non-commercial organizations within pr<strong>of</strong>essional competence <strong>of</strong>volunteers and providing pr<strong>of</strong>essional assistance to non-pr<strong>of</strong>it organizationsand beneficiaries.4. Donor events. The company organizes <strong>the</strong> Donor Days on aquarterly basis, every time involving about 100 employees donatingblood free <strong>of</strong> charge. Blood is delivered to children’s oncological andhematological centers in line with <strong>the</strong> priorities identified in <strong>the</strong> company’ssocial programmes.5. Private donations. This initiative is implemented on a constantbasis – <strong>the</strong>re are special boxes for donations in each <strong>of</strong>fice <strong>of</strong> Transaero.Collected funds are channeled to partner charity foundations.6. ‘Club <strong>of</strong> Volunteers’ is a series <strong>of</strong> educational events for volunteeremployees.COMPANY OVERVIEWTransaero Airlines started its flights in 1991 drawing on <strong>the</strong> best traditions <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> domestic civilaviation and <strong>the</strong> latest global achievements.Currently, Transaero is <strong>the</strong> second largest air carrier in <strong>Russia</strong>. The constantly growing andrenewed fleet <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> company consists <strong>of</strong> more than 90 aircraft. The route network <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>company covers more than 160 directions in <strong>Russia</strong> and abroad. The team <strong>of</strong> Transaero consists <strong>of</strong>over 10,000 employees.In 2012, Transaero was recognized as <strong>the</strong> best airlines in Eastern Europe. The company is <strong>the</strong>winner <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> World Airline Awards established by Skytrax. In 2012, <strong>the</strong> highest rating <strong>of</strong> corporatesocial responsibility (AAAs) was assigned to Transaero by REPUTATION rating agency.3839
