certified auditor training course
you have demonstrated that you
have the knowledge and basic
skills to undertake a management
systems audit not only by attending
the course, but by passing the
relevant IRCA examination and
skills assessment

Applying for certification as an IRCA Auditor
the next step to professional recognition
After successfully completing your IRCA certified
auditor course, the next step is to gain your IRCA
auditor card by applying directly to IRCA for
certification. Simply look at the next page
to select the grade that is most relevant to you
and then download the application forms from
www.irca.org to apply. Complete and submit
your application and we will send you an offer
within weeks.
IRCA approved training organizations
We recognize that attending a training
course is usually a major commitment,
both in terms of cost and time. When
choosing the right training organization
and the right course, make sure you
look for those that display the IRCA
certification mark.
We only approve organizations that
have demonstrated a high standard of
technical and training expertise. All
training organizations approved by
IRCA must demonstrate that they have
the competence to achieve the learning
outcomes for each course and to examine
the performance of students.

(both routes require 2 years of field related work to be included
in the overall experience)
Consultant route: 7 sole or lead audits
Team leader route: 6 years certified to the Lead Auditor grade and
3 sole audits where you were required to demonstrate effective audit
management skills within complex and demanding situations*
