Unfortuately, the printerencountered problems which he did not anticipate, and feels that hecould meet deadlines this coming year. The work of Patterson Press isof excellent quality; the cost is far lower than other bids sumitted, buttime is also a factor of importance. Since last Synod took action totransfer responsibUity for pubUcation of the Minutes of Synod to the ,Boardof Education and PubUcation (1971 Minutes, p. 60), a recommendationconcerning publication wUl come in as a part of the Board'sreport.One correction should be made in the Appendix of the 1971Minutes: On page 164, the second sentence in the report of the Committeeto Revise the Terms of Communion should read as follows:We hereby submit the revised Terms and we are proposing that they beentitled: "Terms of Membership and Communion". We are placing theproposed Terms in parallel columns with the present "Terms ofCommunion" and the "Covenant of Church Membership."Items for the Digest of reports for the 1972 Synod have beenrequested and received. They have been printed and sent out byPatterson Press. The Docket as prepared by the Clerk was printedthrough the Office of the Board of Education and Publication.WhUe not requested by Synod, the Clerk has appended to hisreport job descriptions of the Clerk and Assistant Clerk. This wasprompted by the fact that the Stated Clerk is also submitting a jobdescription to the Synod. We trust that such delineation will behelpful.Recommendations:1. That the Order of Business and hours of meeting in theDocket be accepted as the agenda for this meeting of Synod.2. That the Parliamentarians for this meeting of Synod beKermit S. Edgar, John O. Edgar, and Ralph Joseph.3. That the Precentor for this Synod be D. RaymondMcCracken.4. That the Committee on Announcements for this Synod beJames Wright, Sam WUkey and WUUam Sterrett.5. That an Offering be taken to defray the expenses of Synodimmediately following the reading of the Minutes on Wednesdaymorning.6. That the appended job descriptions for Clerk and AssistantClerk be approved and placed in the Appendix of the Minutes.7. That the following items be referred to the NominatingCommittee:a. A Committee to canvass the vote on the Overtureordered by the Synod of 1971.b. Those to whom and by whom letters of remembranceshould be sent.
