REFORMED PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH 115be elected for 1 year; 2 elected for 2 years; and 2 elected for 3 yeaThe nominating committee <strong>of</strong> <strong>Synod</strong> would determine the terms <strong>of</strong>those elected in setting up the committee.4. The Chairman <strong>of</strong> the Coordinating Committee would beelected from <strong>Synod</strong>'s Board <strong>of</strong> Trustees. The Board would presentnominees to <strong>Synod</strong>'s nominating committee.5. That other members <strong>of</strong> the committee be chosen from nominationsby Presbyteries to <strong>Synod</strong>'s Nominating Committee, along witha description <strong>of</strong> abilities (must be ordained members <strong>of</strong> the denominationin good standing); from which <strong>Synod</strong>'s Nominating Committeewould select nominees to present to <strong>Synod</strong> for election.6. Those elected to the Coordinating Committee would berequired to attend <strong>Synod</strong>, and would participate in <strong>Synod</strong>'s Travel Fund.7. Vacancies on the committee occuring during the year bydeath, resignation, or removal, would be filled by the Moderator <strong>of</strong> theprevious <strong>Synod</strong>.a. A written request signed by three or more members <strong>of</strong> theCoordinating Committee for the removal <strong>of</strong> any member <strong>of</strong>the committee, could be presented to the moderator <strong>of</strong> theprevious <strong>Synod</strong>, who would, within two weeks, appointa committee to hear both sides <strong>of</strong> the case and make a decisionas to the future membership <strong>of</strong> said committeemember.8. The members <strong>of</strong> the Coordinating Committee would determinetheir own schedule <strong>of</strong> meetings. They would also determine what informationthey wUl request from the various boards, committees, andorganizations <strong>of</strong> the Church.9. The Coordinating Committee would receive requests <strong>of</strong> thevarious boards, committees, and organizations <strong>of</strong> the Church whichparticipate in the Budget; evaluate their request in the light <strong>of</strong> theirneeds, resources, and programs; and recommend a total amountneeded to carry out their programs.They would also recommend the amount <strong>Synod</strong> would askcongregations to contribute to the Budget.They would estimate the amount that might be expected frominvestments and other sources; and would make any necessary recommendationsfor meeting the Budget as a whole.10. The Coordinating Committee would present a report at thebeginning <strong>of</strong> the meeting <strong>of</strong> <strong>Synod</strong>. The <strong>Synod</strong> could request revisionsduring the meetings, but not after the fourth full day <strong>of</strong> sessions.Your Committee:Mr. Louis HutmireRev.
