JChrDD <strong>Vol</strong> 2 Issue 1 Jan-Apr 2011<strong>Journal</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Chronotherapy</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Drug</strong> <strong>Delivery</strong>EditorialDear Readers,We are happy to launch the first issue <strong>of</strong> <strong>Vol</strong>ume 2 <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Journal</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Chronotherapy</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Drug</strong> <strong>Delivery</strong>.In this issue, we have five review articles <strong>and</strong> three research papers. The first review is the second article in theSpecial Focus Series on <strong>Chronotherapy</strong> <strong>of</strong> Arthritis. There is another review on Chronopharmaceutics. It is arather new field <strong>of</strong> development <strong>of</strong> formulations <strong>and</strong> drug delivery systems, that provide the drug at the site <strong>of</strong>action according to the chronobiology <strong>of</strong> the disease. In other terms, it is development <strong>of</strong> ‘Tailor-made’medicine as per the requirements <strong>of</strong> the disease. In this issue, we have another Special Focus section on‘Colloidal <strong>Drug</strong> <strong>Delivery</strong>’. In this section, there are two review articles about liposomes <strong>and</strong> niosomes,respectively. There are three research papers.This time, we have designed a new cover page for the journal, which describes the scope <strong>of</strong> the journal,graphically. Readers are requested to kindly provide their comments / suggestions about the cover page, as wellas the quality <strong>of</strong> papers.For the use <strong>of</strong> new readers, I would like to elaborate the scope <strong>of</strong> the journal again. The <strong>Journal</strong> <strong>of</strong><strong>Chronotherapy</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Drug</strong> <strong>Delivery</strong> is being launched to give scope for the publication <strong>of</strong> papers related tochronobiology, chronopharmacology, chronotherapeutics, chronopharmaceutics <strong>and</strong> drug delivery systems.These are developing fields <strong>of</strong> modern medicine in western countries, whereas, Indian system <strong>of</strong> medicine,Ayurveda, has taken into account the importance <strong>of</strong> timing in administration <strong>of</strong> medication.
