In cooperation with PNM, the City of Las Vegas and San Miguel County, this PV<br />

Solar Array has been producing power since November of 2011. The Las Vegas<br />

facility, with 5 megawatts of solar capacity, is comprised of about 78,000 solar<br />

photovoltaic panels on 50 acres north of downtown Las Vegas. Las Vegas Solar<br />

Energy Center is the last of five new utility-scale solar power plants PNM has<br />

brought online within the past year. A must see for all of our attendees!<br />

TOUR OF UNITED WORLD COLLEGE – MONTEZUMA CASTLE<br />

This is a showpiece for Las Vegas. This spectacular building underwent a 12<br />

million dollar renovation several years ago and received a national award.<br />

Participants will be given the opportunity to see a national treasure and to see<br />

how the construction code and ADA issues were addressed in this 100+-year-old<br />

building. The campus includes 110 beautiful acres ranging from the natural hot<br />

springs on the Gallinas River Valley to the pinon covered foothills of the Sangre<br />

de Cristo Mountains.<br />

Las Vegas, <strong>New</strong> <strong>Mexico</strong> boasts over 900 buildings on the state and national<br />

register and 9 historic districts. Following the morning presentation, conference<br />

participants will tour downtown districts to see actual examples related to the<br />

issues presented earlier. The tour will include successful abated sites.<br />

ATTENTION: Please wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes<br />

and feel free to bring a cap/hat.<br />
