Students with comparable coveragewishing to opt out of the plan or new Januaryregistrants wishing to opt in to the plan shouldcontact the Students’ Association (401 UnicentreBuilding) or visit cusaonline.com for deadlinesand details on how to opt in or out.CUSERT fees are applied to the student-operatedon-campus emergency response team.CUESEF is a student donation to support theCarleton Undergraduate Students’ EngineeringFund. The donation for full-fee Engineeringstudents is $50.00 per academic session. Thedonation for per-credit Engineering students is$8.50 per full-credit course. A donation receiptwill be produced and distributed each February.Cancellations and refunds for students who donot wish to support the Fund will be availablefollowing each registration period, by applicationto the Office of the Dean of Engineering andDesign, at dates and times to be announced.CSAAS applies to full-fee students in theArchitecture Studies program. This feeincorporates computer passes ($60.00) and studentsociety membership ($15.00).CIDSA applies to full-fee Industrial Designstudents. The fee incorporates computer passes($95.00) and CIDSA Membership Fee ($15.00).The omnibus fee paid at registration eliminatesindividual charges for requests for transcripts,certificates of enrolment, internal degree transfers,duplicate tax receipts and convocation.A senior citizen is any person 60 years of age andover as of the last day for late registration.Exemptions for international studentsInternational undergraduate students who qualifyfor an exemption from international tuition feesmay be assessed at a domestic tuition fee rate. Inorder to apply for an exemption from internationaltuition fees, students, upon arrival at the University,are required to complete a Certificate of Exemptionfrom International Tuition Fees form. Supportingdocumentation must be included with theirapplication.
