Dear Phil, i received an alumni donation request from CWrU along with your note. i will be mailing a contribution to the dental school … within the next day or two. i have very fond memories of my experience at CWrU and have not forgotten about the help and support you provided to me and my entire class.… Hard to believe how time flies! all the best Phil, safiya raza, D.m.D. ‘03 22 x school of Dental medicine The Aftooras issue challenge grant, alumni respond Phil aftoora and Kathy Kolesar-aftoora made a generous $10,000 gift to the annual Fund this spring. Phil has served on the dental school staff for 38 years and is currently the Director of student services. in this position and his previous role in the admissions department, Phil has had a hand in guiding thousands of students as they embark on their studies at CWrU and then onto their careers. Phil and Kathy made the donation in honor of several dentists who have helped them or had an impact on their lives over the years. they wish to thank: James e. Cuglewski, D.D.s. ‘78 Fady F. Faddoul, D.D.s., m.s.D. ’88, ’93 Dianne m. mcDonald, D.D.s. ’77 Gil s. Peleg, D.D.s., m.D. ‘89 Craig J. tyler, D.D.s., m.s.D. ’90, ’92 in addition, Phil and Kathy wanted to use their donation to challenge young alums, to give a little back to the school and issued the “aftoora Challenge.” the aftooras made their gift on the condition that it would be matched by alumni from the graduating classes of 1998 - 2011. to date, alumni have donated an additional $15,000 towards the “aftoora Challenge,” which has raised more than $25,000 to support the annual Fund! a huge thank you to Phil and Kathy and to all of you who rose to the challenge! n if you’d like to contribute to the aftoora Challenge, make your gift online at https://giving.case.edu.
