Yacht Lighting<br />
LightGraphix manufacture a variety of light fittings for use on exterior decks and<br />
overheads as well as <strong>yacht</strong> interiors. We also utilise LED fittings for spreader<br />
lights, boom mounted cockpit lights and deck lights. In the design process we<br />
bear in mind the <strong>yacht</strong> environment when choosing materials, minimising<br />
weight and considering the level of finish required for this class of vessel.<br />
Of course this means we can also present them for use in high quality<br />
architectural interiors and exteriors, fine furniture and cabinets and be<br />
confident of their performance.<br />
This chapter includes high quality low glare downlights for dichroic reflector<br />
halogen lamps, step lights, sealed bathroom fittings and semi recessed ceiling<br />
fittings with various light sources. Other useful items from the Lightgraphix<br />
range are described in other sections of this catalogue:-<br />
LED fittings<br />
Small no maintenance lights ideal for step lights or high<strong>lighting</strong> features like<br />
door frames and columns or panelling details. Also for display <strong>lighting</strong> in<br />
cabinets where size, low heat and no UV is important. LD242 is used as a<br />
spreader light with 2W source and 6 degree lens to provide adequate light on<br />
deck, with 50,000 hours lamp life, very low heat and minimal battery<br />
consumption. See pages 6-89 for our complete range of LED’s.<br />
XenLight and Light Tube<br />
Robust linear <strong>lighting</strong> systems creating a even wash of warm light in coving<br />
and under the edge of bar tops, shelving or under the lip of stairnosings<br />
(6.4 Light Tube). LED Light Tube and LD20 can be used in similar situations<br />
when low maintenance and power consumption is an issue.<br />
FootLights and Wall Lights<br />
Robust halogen light sources for uplighters, bulkwark mounted deck lights and<br />
step lights in particular FL180 (5W), FL190 (10W and 20W), FL190A and FL199.<br />
Our overhead fitting FL197 and LD197 in this section are based on the same<br />
components.<br />
Picture Lights<br />
For <strong>lighting</strong> quality artwork and paintings, the T2 picture light is a very slim, low<br />
surface temperature fitting available with a variety of lamp colour<br />
temperatures and a “UV to trace” filter option. Other semi-custom solutions<br />
can be made based on LD30 (LED) or Showcase 1 (Halogen).<br />

SR14 LED CRI Downlighter<br />
Recessed 16W 350mA LED downlight for <strong>lighting</strong> internally. Using opalized glass<br />
and selected LED’s, the fitting emits a broad wash of diffused warm white light<br />
with high colouring index. An average light level of 100lux is produced at a<br />
distance of 1m. It is held in place with three constant force springs for ease of<br />
installation and eliminating the chance of damage to the ceiling.<br />

Low Glare Downlights<br />
Developed originally for use in Hotel restaurants (The Raphael in Geneva –<br />
hence the “RH”). To create a more intimate environment, the lamps in these<br />
fittings are set back behind the bezel so the glare from the lamp is not seen at<br />
shallow angles. They work particularly well on <strong>yacht</strong>s where low ceiling<br />
heights sometimes bring lamps closer to heads! We recommend using IRC type<br />
lamps which work at greater efficiency than standard dichroics, so better<br />
energy consumption and lower projected heat - a 35W IRC has the same light<br />
output as a 50W standard.<br />
RH30 Lamp MR11 12V - Max 35W<br />
A small darklight designed for the 35mm dia. MR11 dichroic lamp. It can be<br />
used as a general downlighter if 35W output meets the requirements, but is<br />
particularly good for wall washing when the bezel aperture creates equal<br />
“cones”. The black enclosed body and aluminium bezel reduces the<br />
temperature on the ceiling material around the bezel.<br />

Dichroic Downlights Range<br />
All new designs for our dichroic downlights have improved features, thermal control and finishes. The big debate is whether to relamp from the front or back.<br />
Relamping from the front is always fiddly and there is generally a clip or small ring to loose or struggle with. We have decided to go for making the job easy –<br />
smooth coil type ceiling springs and a simple squeeze clip to retain the lamp. This means the fittings are smaller and better looking from the front and we can<br />
incorporate a black aluminium anti-glare baffle which also reduces heat on the bezel to protect delicate ceiling materials and lacquers.<br />

Available with a 12V 20W G4 Halogen capsule lamp (FL197) or a 7W LED<br />
(LD197), it is rated IP67 for down<strong>lighting</strong> side decks and power-showers where<br />
greater protection is required. The bezel can either be stainless steel or<br />
aluminium. The fitting has a full gasket plus ‘O’ ring seal between body and<br />
bezel and an IP68 cable entry gland it can be set in flush or with the bezel<br />
proud of the surface. Supplied with a clear glass as standard. A frosted glass<br />
can be specified if a softer <strong>lighting</strong> effect is required, which works well with<br />
