Welcomeaboard!!TEAM BUILDINGA Team building session involving staff from the main campusand coordinators from the branch campuses was successfullyconducted between 21st and 23rd <strong>of</strong> June, 2012 at PusatLatihan Ampang Pecah, Kuala Kubu Bharu. The purposes<strong>of</strong> the team building session were to create a fun workingenvironment and foster spirit <strong>of</strong> cooperation and collegialityamong iLQAM’s staff members.Through team-building activities, all <strong>of</strong> us can learn how tobetter communicate with one another that can be enhancedas they probably will be faced with activities that need to besolved as a group. The activities were as follows:• <strong>Management</strong> games• Mapping & Compass• Cross Forest & Camping and overnight in jungle• Making Raft & white-water rafting• Route obstacleOverall, the presence <strong>of</strong> team building would also foster goodattitude towards knowing oneself and be able to generatenew ideas and thoughtful in creating better quality <strong>of</strong> workto further enhance competitiveness and resilience <strong>of</strong> staffin order to address the challenges <strong>of</strong> globalization moreeffectively.CAPSULES OF KNOWLEDGEKnowledge is power and it is essential to create a betterworkplace environment. To enhance the human capital indeveloping an institution that is responsible for organisingtraining <strong>of</strong> the staff, iLQAM emphasizes the spiritual aspect <strong>of</strong>its staff. Knowledge capsule is held once a month at iLQAMby inviting speakers from the Centre for Islamic Thought andUnderstanding (CiTU), <strong>UiTM</strong> to convey religious knowledgesharing as well as to discuss matters related to current issues.By attending this Knowledge Capsule sessions, indirectly,staff members can strengthen their personal and work ethics,personality and understanding among each other.iLQAM CSRA corporate social responsibility programme was held on28th September 2012 where iLQAM had a half day trip toKuala Kubu Bahru Ehsan House. The main objectives <strong>of</strong>the visit were to inculcate moral values towards the staff aswell as to foster goodwill between communities.
