TMNew for 2008 is HME’s 1871-W. This chassis comes complete with a roomy 100” wide cab, allowing for more interiorspace than a traditional cab. But it also comes with all the same user-friendly features that HME is known for.With engines available from 315 hp all the way up to 400 hp you’ll never be short on power. And with front axles availablefrom 14,600# to 21,500# and rear axles from 22,000# to 58,000# the 1871-W can handle many different applicationsincluding pumper, tanker, rescue, and even aerial. The 1871-W is available with classic analog or state-of-the-art multiplexelectrical systems. By selecting the optional 52˚ cramp angle, you can give your 1871-W an even greater ability tomaneuver through tight side streets or down long winding driveways.With optional interior storage compartments, the 1871-W can be outfitted to fityour specific department’s needs.
