COMPUTERIZEDSYSTEMSPORTABLESAll of IST’s portable instruments are designed to operateon either alkaline or nicad batteries, or the ACadapter/charger which is included with every unit. TheAC adapter/charger will charge nicad batteries, whilebypassing alkaline batteries, and allows portable units tobe powered on at all times and ready for use for maximumreliability.REMOTE-LINK SYSTEMThe Remote-Link System is a state-of-the-art, computer-controlledgas monitoring system which allowssensors to communicate with the Remote-Link Computerover an AC power line, providing a data highway whicheliminates the individual sensor wiring associated withconventional monitoring systems. Since 1989, theRemote-Link System has provided customers worldwidewith the most advanced monitoring system available, with the capabilities, features, and field proven reliabilityfound on no other system. The Remote-Link’s powerfulmonitoring software includes such features as dataarchiving and reporting, curve plotting, alarm processing, and fault monitoring. Additionally, computergraphics display your plant and the locations of all sensorswithin your plant. By using the mouse button topoint and click on a sensor, you can view it’s currentreading and alarm status. A separate readings screen letsyou view the readings of all sensors simultaneously. When an alarm occurs, audible and visual indications areprovided and the graphics display will pinpoint thealarm area. In addition, programmable alarm relays areactivated to trip horns, lights, etc.The Remote-Link Systemcan accommodate hundreds, even thousands, ofsensors, yet is still an economicalchoice for systemswith as few as 8 sensors. The modular design of thesystem enables additionalsensors to be added withease at a low incrementalcost, allowing you to expandthe system accordingto your needs. Computerassisted calibration takesthe hassle out of calibration.Zero every sensor inthe system with the pressof a button! Then, simplyapply gas to each sensorand the let the computer dothe rest. Calibration justdoesn’t get any easier!TLV PANTHERThe TLV Panther is an Industrial PrecisionPhotoionization Detector (PID). Offering fast responseand high sensitivity, photoionization is the preferredmethod for detection of Volatile Organic Compounds(VOC’s), and the TLV Panther is the first PID unit of itskind to utilize Precise Response Curves for the detectionof individual gases, including ammonia, benzene, andhydrazine, to name a few. No correction factors are used. The actual response curves for 30 gases are preprogrammedinto each unit. The TLV Panther’s automatedcalibration feature allows you to calibrate all of thesegases by calibrating just one gas, making calibration extremelysimple. For maximum precision, you also havethe option to individually calibrate gases of interest. The TLV Panther also provides you with the ability ofadding up to 3 additional sensors, either electrochemicalor infrared, for more selective detection of individualgases of interest. This allows the TLV Panther to handle awide variety of applications. The TLV Panther also comesstandard with a large, backlit LCD display, built-in samplingpump, and audible and visual alarms. The optionaldata logging feature lets you store months worth of datawhich can be downloaded to a computer or printed outvia the built-in RS-232 interface. The unit is powered via6 ‘D’ size batteries (alkaline or nicad), or the ACadapter/charger.TLV FALCONLike the TLV Panther, the TLV Falcon incorporates aphotoionization detector (PID) for the detection ofVolatile Organic Compounds (VOC’s). However, becausethe TLV Falcon is a single channel unit, it is much morecompact. The TLV Falcon comes standard with a digital
