AFL Victoria
Community Forums/League Managers
Meetings
The AFL Victoria Community Football
Development Department provides avenues
where all Victorian football affi liates can
come together to improve the collective
football environment of state. To this end
a collaborative approach from all Victorian
stakeholders can only improve the game at all
levels for the betterment of the game going
forward
AFL Victoria Rules Committee
Regular meetings are held, as required, to
address operational and rule related matters
which affect all AFLV affi liates. The WorkSafe
VCFL sits on this committee to represent
the views of all Senior and Junior League
affi liates.
The Football Operations Department wishes
to thank the leagues and clubs for their
continued support and enthusiasm, for without
you there is no game.
To the Board of the WorkSafe VCFL, Senior
Management and Staff, well done on keeping
one another focussed on the task at hand,
servicing rural and regional country football
affi liates, for without clubs, umpire groups and
leagues there is no WorkSafe VCFL.
I would personally like to take this opportunity
to acknowledge Brett Anderson, Ben O’Brien,
John O’Donohue and Bruce Petering our
WorkSafe VCFL Area Managers for their
dedication to their vast areas of responsibility,
in fulfi lling their roles they enable the
operational arm of the organisation to function
as smoothly as possible – well done guys.
I would also like to recognise Steven Reaper
(CEO) who since Glenn Scott’s resignation in
May of this year has displayed outstanding
leadership, direction and focus to the
organisation in trying circumstances, yet at
all times acting in the best interests of the
WorkSafe VCFL and its affi liates.
The game will always be “a game for the
people”, we all need to strive to do the best
we possibly can, in whatever capacity and
whatever circumstances confront us, with the
goal of leaving football in a better shape than
when we found it.
In closing, we look forward to working with
you again in 2012 for the further development
of country football.
