Easy to use
Three simple steps to start insulin delivery
The unique design of the mylife OmniPod ® allows for fewer accessories, and
makes it much easier to prepare the system for use: it has the fewest steps to
start insulin delivery.
Virtually pain-free insertion
Experience the world’s fastest insertion
The virtually pain-free, automated insertion ensures
cannula inserts with consistent depth and angle.
The cannula is inserted in the blink of an eye in just
0.005 seconds.
It minimises errors and tissue damages and the
needle is never visible.
Fill
Fill the Pod with insulin (from 85 up to 200 units
of rapid-acting U-100 insulin, e.g. NovoRapid ® ,
Humalog ® or Apidra ® ). The Pod automatically
primes itself and performs a series of safety checks.
Patch
Apply Pod to the infusion site and run finger around
the adhesive to ensure application.
Pump
Press “Start” to activate virtually pain-free, auto-
mated insertion of the soft cannula and begin
insulin delivery.

Discreet and wearable in so many places
The mylife OmniPod ® has no tubing. There is no
need for carrying a pump on a belt clip, in a small
pouch under clothes, or in a bra. No more snapped
or twisted infusion sets.
No need to disconnect
The world’s only truly continuous insulin delivery system
In daily life quite a lot of pump users disconnect
when showering, swimming, exercising or during
intimate moments, leaving them with an interrupted
basal insulin flow. Not anymore. The tubeless and
waterproof Pod communicates wirelessly with the
PDM, so there is no need to disconnect. No matter
what activities your patient chooses to do there
is no more hassle to disconnect and reconnect,
giving your patient more time to live their life.
STUDY
Truly continuous insulin infusion
A prospective, open-label study, published
in Diabetes Care, measured the impact of
short-term infusion set disconnects on glucose
levels. The conclusion: A “30-minute interruption
of basal insulin infusion resulted in significant
glucose elevation; ~1 mg/dL for each
minute basal insulin infusion was interrupted.” 3
Because the Pod is worn directly on the skin,
mylife OmniPod ® is the world’s only truly
continuous insulin delivery system; patients
have no need to disconnect. As a result, it
promises better control and reduced glycemic
variability.

A Pod can be worn wherever an injection would
be possible with insulin pen treatment (MDI/ICT).
And because it’s so small, it attracts less attention
and provides a feeling of freedom your patient
doesn’t get with a conventional pump.

Eco-Pod Program
Environmentally friendly
We care for and respect our environment. Therefore
we designed a unique program to have used Pods
sent back to us and recycled in Switzerland.
Patients collect the used Pods in the Recycling Box
provided by Ypsomed and send them back. Our
designated recycler in Switzerland takes the Pods
completely apart and recycles their components.
Please take part in our Eco-Pod Program by
encouraging your patients to join and dispose of
their Pods the right way.
Readout software
Easy data management
The ease of use of the mylife OmniPod ® Insulin
Management System expands also to the data
management. The mylife OmniPod ® is compatible
with Europe’s standard, independent readout
software. Communication and follow-up with your
patients is just like you are used to: with easy-toconfigure
and clearly displayed overviews for
patient education.
mylife Diabass ®
mylife Diabass ® is the DIABASS ® version for
patients and works with all the mylife Diabetescare
products, such as mylife Pura ® and mylife
GM300 blood glucose meters, as well as the
mylife OmniPod ® .
The DIABASS5 ® PRO update for your clinic makes
your professional readout software up to date and
able to assist your mylife OmniPod ® patients.
Diasend ®
If you are using Diasend ® in your clinic, the mylife
OmniPod ® will fit right in.

We are there for you and your patients
The company behind mylife Diabetescare is
Ypsomed, a Swiss-based medical device company
that is sensitive to the physical and emotional
challenges that people with diabetes face in their
everyday lifes. Under the name of Disetronic,
Ypsomed manufactured and marketed its first
insulin pump more than 25 years ago. We now
bring you the first insulin patch pump.
Training
When you want to start patients on the mylife
OmniPod ® , we will be there for you with training and
support. Our medical representatives and certified
Pod trainers will assist you during your start-up with
on-site training. So your diabetes educator will be
certified, and able to start and support your
tubeless pumpers.
Customer Care
In case questions may arise, answers can be found
in our support materials, online or our Customer
Care Centres will gladly assist you and your patients.
Immediate Replacements
If a PDM breaks or malfunctions due to a technical
error, the Customer Care Centre will endeavour to
replace the PDM within 1 working day.
Supportive Online Community
Since the US launch in 2005 and the European
launch in 2010, there are now tens of thousands of
experienced OmniPod ® users: toddlers, kids, teens,
adults, parents and senior citizens. A lot of them are
active in their local diabetes societies, forums or
social medias. If starters want to connect with an
experienced OmniPod ® user, ask a personal
question or share their new story, there is always
a place for it. 4
