House Disneyland trip: ‘A bonding, exhilarating, friend-making,magical experience! A once-in-a-lifetime experience withclassmates! The trip was absolutely phenomenal and I loved everyminute. It was so nice to be reunited with our childhood heroes.I made some new friends with people that I hadn’t really spent anytime with before. Exhausting, but brilliant – can we go again andI promise I’ll try to speak French next time?’House News & Charity EventsCharity SwimTristan Carman and Sam Hoiles (12KG) swam 320 lengths of the Schoolpool (5 Miles) in just over three hours to raise money for Cancer ResearchUK. They have both put in a significant amount of training over the pastfew weeks. ‘We both loved it, but don’t want to see a swimming poolagain for a good while’. They have raised just over £3,000 but would liketo raise even more. They support eightdeveloping countries around theworld by adopting villages toprovide schools, proper health careand clean water with a view to thevillage being self-sustainable withinan 8-year period. We decidedthat we would like to focus uponhelping Sierra Leone. We have sofar raised £600 with our Inter-House Dance-Off held on CharityDay, 15th February (see above).The event was a sell-out and thefinal was particularly tight betweenTulley’s and Tyson’s.
