IED Madrid
Over 45 years ago, the IED was founded as
an academic institution specializing in all
disciplines of design, visual communications
and fashion, with nine branches in
Italy, Spain and Brazil. The IED has been in
Madrid for over 15 years with two branches
that are home to 1,400 students. Both are
located in the city center near the neighborhoods
of Malasaña and Gran Vía. Today,
the IED Madrid is a Private Institution for
Higher Arts Education in Design that offers
Official Degrees in Design for undergraduate
degrees, Master’s degrees, one-year
programs, executive courses, specialization
courses and summer courses.
The IED Madrid offers comprehensive
training for the new design professional,
conscious of the times and the environmental,
social, economic and political needs and
demands that will form the foundation of
future society.
Thanks to the IED’s continuous relationship
with the business world, all of our programs
rely on the support of multiple companies
and institutions, such as: Apple, Canal +,
Fun&Basics, iGuzzini, Missoni, Philips,
Audi, Inditex, Electrolux, VIPS, Lancia,
Alitalia, Sony, Vitra, Havaianas and Bombay
Sapphire.
Furthermore, the IED Madrid is a cultural
institution that disseminates design and
its links to other disciplines, including architecture,
art, film and music. Exhibitions,
conferences and events are organized with
a vision of the future through innovation
and experimentation.
