CFAB Newsletter Summer 2012Record Breaking Golf Dayand Gala Dinner!The 6th bi-annual Golf Tournamentonce again took place at themagnificent Stoke Park Golf Clubin Buckinghamshire on Monday28th May 2012. The focus of theday was to raise money for CFAB’swork in the prevention of childabduction.The weather was fantastic and thesun shone as 19 teams - joined byLadies professionals - battled it outon one of the most challengingand beautiful courses in thecountry. We were joined by teamsfrom Merrill Lynch, GoldmanSachs, Julius Baer, Credit Suisseand Vestra Wealth to name but afew.After a delicious brunch the teamsset off in the glorious sunshine. Afabulous round of golf was followedby a champagne reception andgala dinner with entertainmentfeaturing a Magician and musicfrom Fantasia.Steve Rider handed out theprizes to the winning teams andindividuals and ensured that alively auction made a considerablecontribution to the total amountraised. The raffle was incrediblypopular this year and there weresome brilliant prizes on offerincluding designer leather wallets,top London restaurant vouchersand Chanel perfume sets.We were thrilled to have the BroadGallery with us once again to runthe Silent Auction and they hadsome beautiful prints on displayfrom artists such as Picasso,Chagall, Matisse and Miro.Photographers:Elaine MaysonWe are incredibly grateful to thesponsors of the event Credit Suisseand the generosity of all thosewho supported the day.The event raised an incredible£100,000 for the charity and wewould like to sincerely thank Drand Mrs Sattaripour, Steve Rider,Suzanne Harding, the organisingcommittee and sponsors formaking it such a memorable event.Page 3
