This change has brought a majorquestion to mind, “are they the same owners?” The answer to that question is most definitely YES. We changednames because a steak house in Houston, TX has the name Taste of Texas trademarked and now that we arebottling our delicious barbecue sauce we need to separate ourselves. While we are still small and homey wethought it was the perfect time. We picked the name Texas Bar-B-Q Joint because that is exactly what we areand so often referred to. We’re a family owned business in our 4th year and growing. We pride ourselves on greatfood at a reasonable price in a family atmosphere. Whether you are a returning patron or hearing about us for thefirst time, we are proud to be a part of the Spencerport community and plan to be here for a long time. The smell of fresh bread wasbaking in the oven and we could also smellmarinara sauce simmering. It was all you caneat Pasta on Tuesday Night so that made upmy mind as to what I was going to have fordinner. Coupled with their huge homemademeatballs and a glass of Apothic Red wine, Iwas delighted. My partner enjoyed their signaturedish, Seafood Bianca, named after their first granddaughter. Loads of scallops, shrimp and crab lined this dish with melting mozzarella over a bed of penne in a garlicwhite wine sauce. Needless to say, we enjoyed our leftovers the following day. Duringour visit the owner Lisa Bowles came by to ask if everything was to our liking. It wasa pleasure meeting her, and we learned that she has been in the business with herhusband for the past nine years at their other location located on Dewey Avenue. The service, the food, the drinks and the atmosphere was just perfect. I understand thatFridays are a big hit here for their fish fry and she warned us to come early. Thursdaysare Steak night for only $12.99 you get a 12 oz Strip dinner.
